About the Prof.
Our laboratory is dedicated to the practical research for evaluating material properties and durability evaluation of concrete via smart technology, such as sensing, AI etc. The main research in this Lap focuses on evaluating the durability of concrete via measured data and artificial neural networks, developing eco-friendly materials for carbon reduction, and improving concrete quality with sustainable admixtures. By analyzing and modeling both mechanical and chemical properties, the aim is to propose diverse solutions and directions for advancing concrete performance. In addition, our lap conducts practical research by building a model that applies statistical analysis via artificial neural networks in order to evaluate the integrity of structures and assess their real time condition by attaching sensors on actual field structures to collect measurement data.
