김종오 교수(환경소재 및 막공정 연구실)의 주요 연구 주제는 수중 오염물 처리 및 유가 자원 회수를 위한 나노 소재 개발 및 적용, 기후변화 대응 고효율 응집·침전지 개발, 역삼투 및 막증류 공정을 이용한 음용수 생산 및 분리막 소재 개발, 정수 및 하·폐수 처리용 분리막 공정의 막 완결성 및 수명예측 등의 유지관리 기법 개발 등이다. 학부 및 대학원 강의는 상·하수도, 환경공정, 광촉매, 담수화 및 환경 나노 소재 기술 관련 과목이다.
