About the Prof.
Professor Seo leads the Intelligent Construction Technology Lab, a pioneering research group dedicated to the fields of construction automation and smart infrastructure. The lab focuses on developing intelligent technologies that span the entire life cycle of civil infrastructure systems, from design and construction to operation and maintenance. The group addresses critical industry challenges, including labor shortages, safety concerns, and intense global competition, by integrating soft automation (information technology) with hard automation (robotics and automated equipment). The lab is actively engaged in developing smart construction technologies such as BIM/Digital Twin, automated construction equipment, and intelligent construction control systems. Through close collaboration with industry partners, the lab ensures that its cutting-edge research is translated into real-world applications, driving the future of construction.
