The CIC research group is dedicated to the scientific study of construction informatics and computing for computer-aided decision making through the integration of automated data acquisition, systematic analysis, and information visualization. To facilitate the digital transformation of the construction industry, we leverage cutting-edge technologies, such as deep learning, computer vision, sensing, BIM/GIS, digital twins, simulation, and mixed reality, which enhance the intelligence and optimization of construction management throughout the entire life cycle of projects, from design and construction to operation and maintenance. Building upon these technical advances, our research aims to gain a comprehensive understanding of human behavior and social interactions within the construction environment and further explores integrative approaches to human–machine interaction (HCI) and data-driven operational optimization for construction management.
